Prom Eve.

School was a-buzz today, about PROMMMMMMMMM tomorrow night. About what people are planning to do with their hair, and some girls were leaving school to get manicures, and it was just fabulous. However, holy crap! There seems to be so much drama...or "prom-a," as it's been known as. Everyone's stressing about how there is drama with their date. Drama with where "pre-prom" will be. And whose house will allow drinking for "post prom." Now, I'm going with mt group of friends....who might as well be the most practical and innocent group of people ever. We thought very practically. Our corsages are made out of silk flowers (so they don't die, yet look FABULOUS).Corsages are crazy expensive. But with fake flowers that look real...that were made by one of us? Genius. Dresses and tuxes that are borrowed, or reused. Pre-prom = one of our houses...to take pictures...and drink...ginger ale. One of our "group" is taking pictures, then going to a performance she's in, the coming back for the last hour of prom. Genius-ly practical. Annnnnd, we're not renting a fancy schmancy limo or "party-bus," we're taking our OWN party bus...aka the SCHOOL BUS!!!!! WOOP WOOP!!! Here's our equation for our post prom:

post prom = friend's house + disney movies + (sleepover x fun) - drinking

I'm excited. And I've been a total nerd in school for saying that. Whatever.

Prom.

It's essentially a party. That's all. A party were people spend hundreds of dollars on dresses they will wear once, pay for limousines that cost a fortune, and professional hair, makeup and photographers that are 1) unnecessary and 2) expensive. I think this WHOLE thing is unnessesary. But, hey, it's tradition. However, one thing that I am enjoying is how people are asking each other to go to prom. THere have been songs...many songs..., cute presentations, and romantic guestures that make you go AWWWW!! Adorable. Cute.
